However, if peace and relaxation is what you seek, indulge in one of the many traditional ayurvedic spas. Massage parlours are dotted throughout Kovalam and offer all kinds of massaged. With its traditional healing techniques, you will leave Kovalam feeling fresh. The journey to Kanyakumari is not very long and can be completed in 2.5 hours by road. If you are traveling in a large group or with family, hiring a private car or taxi is your best bet. You can select the best option from a number of cars available. The standard fare is Rs 5 per kilometer. However, the rate can vary. Alternatively, train is also a good option to minimize travel time between Kovalam and Kanyakumari. Trivandrum Nemom is the nearest railway station which is around 8 kilometers from the Thiruvanthanpuram Airport.
